Detailed Information
The Jain temples in the Humcha Basadi complex belong to the Digambar sect of Jainism and hold significant importance as one of the major Jain centers in Karnataka. Among these temples is the Padmavati temple, located near the same lakki tree where Padmavati appeared in Jinadatta’s dream, instructing him to build his capital. According to Jain belief, the Goddess manifested within the lakki tree, and remarkably, the same tree still grows beside the temple to this day. This sacred site is revered by devotees for its spiritual significance and historical connections to Jain mythology.
